FAQ
All sessions are conducted virtually for your convenience and safety. They are held on a HIPAA-compliant platform to ensure your privacy and confidentiality, allowing you to attend from home, work, or anywhere you feel comfortable.
During your first session, we focus on getting to know you and understanding your needs. This includes:
- Building rapport and establishing a comfortable space for you
- Exploring your goals and what you hope to achieve through therapy
- Developing an initial plan tailored to your needs
- Discussing any concerns or questions you may have
The first session is all about setting the foundation for your growth and making sure you feel supported.
I am thrilled that you’re committed to making the most of your sessions! Your engagement and effort are keys to your progress. Since our sessions meet just once a week, the real growth happens in the work you do between meetings. The time and attention you invest outside of our sessions will make the biggest difference in your personal development and success.
Yes! Therapy sessions are billed through insurance, and I accept the following providers:
- Aetna
- Cigna
- UnitedHealthcare
- Oxford (Optum)
Coaching and ART (Accelerated Resolution Therapy) sessions are fee-based and are not billed through insurance.
Therapy focuses on understanding and healing past experiences, processing emotions, and addressing mental health challenges. It helps you work through difficulties, trauma, or patterns that may be holding you back.
Coaching focuses on the present and future – helping you clarify goals, create actionable plans, and build skills to achieve personal or professional growth. Coaching is more about guidance, motivation, and accountability, rather than addressing mental health conditions.
Definitely! Ask anything (well… within reason 😄). I’m here to share insights and guidance, but the spotlight is always on you and your growth.
Yes! Over the years, I’ve worked with therapists through different phases and challenges in my life. Therapy has helped me heal from old wounds, expand my resilience, and develop skills I wasn’t taught. I’ve learned firsthand how valuable it is to have support along the way – someone to help you navigate tough moments, celebrate growth, and keep moving forward. We all need a little guidance sometimes, and therapy showed me just how powerful that support can be.
